Story inspired by this wonderful man
In memory of "Willie":
William Pisana, known to his friends and colleagues as Billy, was a loving and thoughtful brother who gave of his time and service to the Manhasset-Lakeville Fire Department and was captain of their Police Unit. He lived and worked as an electrical foreman at the United States Merchant Marine Academy in Kings Point, Long Island. Born in Brooklyn at Long Island College Hospital on August 13th, 1947, Billy was the second of four children born to Joseph and Constance Pisana. His older brother Frank and younger brother Robert predeceased him. He is survived by his younger sister, Francine Pisana. William served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War, and as a patriot and true believer in the democracy that is the United States, he continued to serve both his country and the community of Manhasset-Lakeville. William was also the inspiration for the character of Michael Cohen, whom Andrew and June dedicate to his memory.
